Select relationship view based on parent classification

Hello all,

I have a parent item type "Request" that has a relationship to "Items requested".  I have written a method that selects the default path of the workflow for the "Request" based on the classification that is selected for the "Request".

I have three views for the "Items requested" item type.  The view that's used is dependant upon the classification set for the "Request".  Currently when I add a new "Items requested" I use a generic view (4th view) to select the classification for the "Items requested" to the same value as the "Request" then bring up the correct view for that classification.

How can I accomplish the same thing without needing to select the classification for the "Items requested"?

I'm currently working in 9.3.0 SP8
