Does anyone have an idea on how to change the main window, where users are able to search for their parts, so that a one column would have a specific color (red) and another column would be blue ?
Thought about using one of the CSS or XSL files and tweak them.

I just installed Aras 10.0 trial version. Obviously I am new to navigavting around this software. I accidentially selected "update timezones data" under the Actions tab while logged in as admin. How do I correct this error?
If there are multiple forms specified for an ItemType, how do you programmically open an Item in a form you specify? The end goal is to create an Action that a user can execute on an Item to open a form other then the default.
I have explored uiShowItem and uiShowItemEx with no luck.
I get the following error when I try to run Innovator. If I uncheck ASP.NET in the IIS settings I get a 500.19 error. This one I can't seem to shake. Any suggestions?
So I've tackled a bunch of issues and can now get the login window to open with Firefox. When I try to log in with the "admin" "innovator" I get an error message saying that permission was denied. Below is a screen shot showing the error with SQL manager and the InnovatorServerConfig.xml file behind it.

I had a problem because I have modified the reviews sake and now get an error when I try to save changes.
The reason for my modification reviews is that try to appear as 1,2,3, .... instead of A, B, C, ....
Every time I try to save a change to Aras me the following message appears:

I am new to Innovator and have a need for a custom part numbering system and I'm hoping someone can help me in customising the following.
The system I have in mind is as follows:
XXX-YYYY-ZZ
Where XXX is a document type e.g. PCB assembly, PCB board, Mechanical assembly, Mechanical part, connector, switches etc. The part type to be chosen from a drop-down list and automatically filled in.
YYYY is then a sequential number starting from 00001 for each documented type.
ZZ is the current revision level.
So for example we can have the following part numbers:
200-0001-01 for a PCB assembly
300-0001-01 for a mechanical assembly

Hi, I'm having a problem with the new 10.0 release. I'm admittedly not an expert when it comes to configuring windows server, so please let me know if I screwed something up.
The install is fine, no errors, and I can log in (looking through other posts on this topic, I gather that this means SQL is working properly). The problem arises when I try to add new items or edit existing ones, I get a 404 error, stating that the page doesn't exist. The page it's looking for is indeed not there. Here's what it's looking for...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Aras\Innovator\Innovator\Client\scripts\tabItemView
I've tried everything I can think of, and searched for days for answers. I have created multiple new VMs, both server 2008 R2 and Win 7 x64. No matter what I do, it's the same thing.
I have searched the entire Innovator folder for that "tabItemView" file, and it's not there. I even extracted all the files from the installer, and it's not there.
Would any of you that got it working, be willing to check if that file is there in your installation?

I recently installed Aras 10.0 to simply test and evaluate this software for my company. Therefore I don't the full blown Aras installed. I am trying to understand where to start. From the out of the box installation, if you create a new project it has a sequential Project Number which is fine but I would like to rename the label to Project ID. It seems as though the farther I dig there are related items. Can you give me an idea of where to start?
Also I would like to add another text box and call it Project Number since this is where the user will define which project items are associated. However with a lack of documentation I am unable to figure this out. Any pointers?

I have Innovator 10 installed and running. When I read the facs the following item leads me to believe there are some basic things setup within Innovator. Should I see them or do I need an additional install.

I want to create a relationship between 2 itemtype (A and B) with below scenario and need help to configure/develop it.
Scenario:
If user create a "A1" Item and related it with "B1" item in the "relationship tab" then in "B1" item it should display that it is related with "A1" item if you go to "B" itemtype and search for "B1" item.
Is there a way to configure it using Aras or i have to write custom code for it. Any guidance and sample code is appreciated.
NOTE: here A1 and B1 are item of itemtype A and Itemtype B respectively.

Hi!
I'm testing Arras Innovator for possible implementation in company I work.
I've installed Innovator on Windows Server 2008 SP2 and client is Windows 7 x64 Pro with Internet Explorer 10.
I've followed guides for installation but many things are still undocumented like configuring application pool in IIS.
However, my next problem is with client side. When I try to create new user I get HTTP 404 error.
I've searched forum but have not found any solution. Can anyone assist?

Hi Guys
With an Action I changed a Document state.
After the action the maingrid still shows the old state.
I need to update/refresh the grid manual to see the new state value.
How can I update the modified item in the maingrid with javascript?

I am still trying to learn how to use Aras 10. While I was modifying the default Project ItemType & Forms, I lost the ability to click on green check mark when adding a new project. Can anyone tell me which property to look for? Or where I went wrong?

I have multiple vendors for the same part which offer different prices.
To me, it would thus be more logically to add the part price in the Vendor item than in the part item.
If I add the price to the part, then I have no where to differentiate between the vendors.
How do other people handle this issue?

I have 2 itemtype(A and B) which are related. and Form looks like below:

Now instead of using "Pick related" option, i want to set value in "B Itemtype" Grid with my custom logic.
I tried setrelationship() and addrelationship() methods but it is not displaying anything in the "B itemtype" relationship grid.
Kindly guide me how i can achieve it using server side, since i am using SQLQuery to get my data. Also let me know if i have use specific event to achieve this functionality.
