Aras community -

Wehave a new community site ---- http://community.aras.com/

We recently completed a migration to the new site.  This new site includes modern capabilities that will allow us to better engage with the community AND empower the community to take an active role in developing solutions, mentoring, etc.

Some other capabilities that we have included:

  • Multi language authoring (blog + kb) - to share knowledge globally.
Captcha login verification - to manage robots & spam (sorry necessary)
  • Social Login - use your favorite social profile, one less login to remember
  • Github integration – for community projects
  • Knowledgebase - to capture community knowledge
  • Google Analytics
  • Tiled social wall (twitter)
  • Search Engine Optimization – realtime feedback for authors
  • Enhanced media library – to capture and categories all of our graphics, pictures (ACE), and files for easy management
  • And a clean simple theme that is easy to navigate

Please register on the new site and link your social profile.

We appreciate help from you in the community while we iron out details.  We know nothing is perfect but we think we have a good start.

If you have questions or comments please let me know.  We are also interested in contributions from our entire ecosystem - If you would like to contribute please contact me.

Forum Specific Migration Note

All

We migrated all of the existing forum conversations into the new site.  We created an archive forum to capture the conversations, allow for google search and to reference into new conversations.

Our old platform was very out of date - Ill spare you the details - suffice to say that simple exports took more effort than starting up the entire new site.  In order to migrate we needed to make some compromises in order to get things done efficiently.

You may need to re-start a conversation - but you can simply hyperlink to the archived conversation to add the context back in.  Apologies for this.  This is a one time bump in the road due to the migration hurdles.

If you have any questions please contact me - dewing@aras.com

Part Changes Tab

Hello,

Under the help it says that "Changes tab shows all the PRs, ECRs, and ECNs that have been filed where this particular part is affected"  I am using the simple ECO for change management, and they do not show up in this tab.  The tab is controlled by the Part Changes itemtype, but I can not find where they are made.  Any pointers in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott
