new installation, can't access Innovator -- .NET security problem

Hi,

I'm a new user, trying to get my first install of Aras 9.3 up and running. I have installed it on a laptop to try it out, but can't seem to get past the .NET security, as a lot of previous posts here seem to also have run into.

When I try to hit http://35emba2013l811/innovatorserver I get the failure message:

"Aras Innovator client has failed to initialize.
Please, contact your system administrator to review your .NET security settings."

I am using a reasonably powerful Windows 7 Professional computer now with IE9 (I had IE10 and uninstalled it). Windows updates are turned off. I am running .NET 4.0. I have SQL Server 2008 installed, and IIS enabled (although I haven't done any configurations to either beyond accepting any default settings). I am not any kind of IT person, so anything beyond day to day computing is new to me, eg: IIS and SQL Server.

I worked through the installation guide, and have run the sdns.exe application with the settings suggested there, and have made the security settings to IE9 as described in Aras Innovator Internet Explorer Client Configuration.

I've tried accessing both http://35emba2013l811/innovatorserver (which is what IIS tells me is the address for my install) and http://localhost/InnovatorServer, and both fail the same way.

There seem to be a bunch of posts from people having run into the same issue, but I've not found any that got resolved. I'd really like to try out Innovator, but I'm floundering. Can anyone help me out figuring this out?

Furthermore, I didn't have a desktop shortcut installed, even though the installation guide said one would be -- does this mean the installation went wrong somehow?

I think the following picture shows my .NET policies (I found instructions on this in a different post.)

I've also included the log from the sdns.exe app.

Thanks,
Toby.
